The Remedy for a Glass Half Empty.

Combining two homemade ingredients into one, happy concoction, Ever the Optimist uses both the Hibiscus Liqueur and Meyer Lemon Bitters. Now, if you’d planted your own lemon tree and distilled your own rum, you could truly one-up us all.

EVER THE OPTIMIST.

Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. High quality white rum
1 oz. Hibiscus Liqueur
¾ oz. Fresh-squeezed lemon juice (About half a large lemon)
6 dashes of Meyer Lemon Bitters

Instructions:

  1. Combine rum, hibiscus liqueur, lemon juice and bitters in a shaker full of ice.
  2. Shake vigorously.
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with hibiscus flower (optional).
